The redevelopment of the Loiola barracks grounds not only presents an opportunity for the city's expansion along the Urumea axis but also for the creation of a new central hub bridging Loiola, Txomin, and Intxaurrondo. The urban planning prioritizes the restoration of the river as a natural centerpiece of the neighborhood, seamlessly connecting it with the adjacent Ametzagaina park. Through a diverse range of building typologies, the development aims to foster a dynamic neighborhood characterized by pedestrian and cyclist-friendly infrastructure, while integrating lush green spaces into the fabric of the urban landscape, thus ensuring a vibrant and harmonious environment
